Oscar Robinson III

1954 - 2021

Oscar Robinson III, born March 15, 1954 to Mr. O.C. (Oscar) Robinson Jr. and James Ella Robinson of Gary, IN. He was one of four children. His parents and brothers: Curtis, Lee, Barney and Charles Johnson, all preceded him in making his transition on October 2nd, 2021. Oscar attended Froebel High School, and retired from U.S. Steel after 40 years of service. He was joined in holy matrimony to his beloved wife of 43 years: Terry Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Terry; sons, Keith and Christopher; daughters, Maria Robinson-Harris and Lafonda Robinson of Highland, IN; grandchildren: Jacqueline, DaVocci, Keith Jr., O'ryan, Abry'Anna, Aa'Niyhla, Amiyah, Ismael, Olympia, Isabelle, and Ish'shone, (all of Gary, IN); beloved sister, Dorothy (Sherwen) Moor-Ahmad; two nieces: Romonda Carter of Indianapolis, Sana Moore of California, Asia, Nijah, Rasheed of Indianapolis and a special sister-in-law, Evelyn Johnson of Inglewood, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday, October 15, 2021 from noon -8:00pm and funeral service Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00a.m. at the Guy & Allen chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary, IN.
