To the McDaniel Family, I have very fond memories of Powell. I met him at work and quickly hit it off. I found him to be genuine and felt at ease speaking to him about anything. We would meet for cigarette breaks every day and just talk about work and family. He was very proud of his dauthers and wife. He would often speak of your academic accomplishments and your worldly travels, and his face lit up when speaking of you. He was a dear man and I miss my friend. Rest in peace...Lupe Sanchez

To my dearest friend and her family,
I did not get to visit very often when your parents came down to visit but when I did, I always felt loved and welcomed!
When I would see your Dad, I could always see the love and pride he had for his family in his eyes.

I hate goodbyes, so I will say " Congratulations Mr. McDaniel for a life well-lived and well-loved!"

Mrs. McDaniel, Kelly, Piper and Ricky,

I count myself blessed to have known Mr. McDaniel. He would give these serious looks and I would say something to make him smile, then he would assume "the look" again. He definately loved the ladies and the puppy in his life. You all were his joy. He was a great example of a loving father. May Peace and comfort find you during these difficult times. Love you All...
