Patterson family,
I am so sorry to read of Robert's passing. We arrived at East Chicago Washington High School and became lifelong friends. He worked at Inland Steel and I, on the East Chicago Police Department. I would see him often while I was on patrol, going or coming from work, and we would both start laughing even before we said a word. I lost track of my friend (which I regret) after I retired and moved. Robert was certainly a great friend, a good man, whom I will truly miss. May your memories of Robert soothe you, your friends comfort you, and your family's strength help your hearts begin to heal. May the love you all shared sustain you through this time of sorrow. TIME PASSES, BUT WONDERFUL MEMORIES NEVER FADE. Please accept my deepest sympathy...and may Robert rest in peace.
