Robert Rainge Jr.

Robert Rainge Jr., Age 81, passed away on Tuesday September 7, 2021 in Milwaukee, WI. He was born June 14, 1940 in Gary, Indiana to Robert Rainge Sr. and Ella Mae Rainge who preceded him in death. Also, preceding him in death, sister Essie Roby and brothers Simon Rainge and Parmaley Rainge. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School Class of 1958 where he excelled in track and field. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem A. M. E. Zion Church participating in the Senior Choir and Steward Board. He retired from U. S. Steel in 1987 and then worked at his brothers' Jiffy Lube franchise before settling into permanent retirement. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Vonnie B. Rainge, daughter Dr. Yolanda (Troy) Reese of Milwaukee, WI, daughter Stephanie (Jerome Davis) Rainge of Seabrook, TX, son Rodney (Andrea) Rainge of Savannah, TX, grandchildren Cameron and Christopher Reese of Milwaukee, WI, Anija Word, Braelyn, Bryce and Braxton Rainge of Savannah, TX, brothers Rudolph (Thelma) Rainge, Lovell (Irene) Rainge and sister Armareatha Powell, godson Kevin (Rossanne) Webb of Arlington, TN and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. All services at Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 West 11th Ave, Gary, IN. Visitation Sunday September 12, 2021 from 12-8:00 PM, with family hours from 6-8:00 PM.
