Ruth H. Cummings

RUTH H. CUMMINGS (nee BODAMER) Hobart, Indiana Ruth H. Cummings, age 78, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009. She was born on March 12, 1930 in Hobart, Indiana to the late Carl F. and Helen Bodamer. She was a longtime Hobart resident and was the former owner of Cummings Heating and Cooling. She graduated from Merrillville High School in 1948. Ruth loved basket weaving and china painting. She is survived by her son and caregiver of the past 4 years, Mark Cummings of Hobart, IN; her sister, Grace Goodaker; and sister-in-law, Marjorie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Cummings, and one sister, Betty Lloyd. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Funeral services are Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Pastor Richard Brown, officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, located in Valparaiso. Visitation is Friday, February 13, 2009, 4 to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
