SAMUEL J. KINGMA DeMotte, Indiana Samuel J. Kingma, age 82 years, of DeMotte, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Porter Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. He was born on December 17, 1924 in DeMotte, Indiana to Teenie (Fase) and Gerben Kingma, both deceased. Sam attended DeMotte Public Schools. On January 28, 1947 he married Ann Vander Molen, who survives. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, serving in WW II. Sam was a farmer and founder of Kingma Produce, DeMotte, IN., and a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, DeMotte, IN where he served as Elder and Deacon. He was a past Board Member of the DeMotte Christian School and past Board Member of the first DeMotte Town Board. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Kingma of DeMotte, IN; son, Glen (Pat) Kingma of DeMotte, IN; grandchildren, Brad Kingma of Greencastle, IN, Ryan (Barb) Kingma of DeMotte, IN. and Dana Kingma of Willowbrook, IL; 3 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Trevor and Jenna Kingma, all of DeMotte, IN; sister, Henrietta Kingma of DeMotte, IN; 3 brothers, James (Betty) Kingma of Wheatfield, IN, Harold (Eleanor) Kingma and Dr. Roy (Sonya) Kingma, both of DeMotte, IN. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Jackson Funeral Service, 200 Third St. SW, DeMotte, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Monday January 15, 2007 at The First Christian Reformed Church, DeMotte, IN with Pastor Laryn Zoerhof officiating.
