STEVEN C. LUSH

Age 55, of Portage, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Horton VNA Hospice in Valparaiso, Indiana. Steve was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and a graduate of Gary Wirt High School in 1974. He was formerly employed at Republic Steel in Gary. Steve enjoyed working on his Ford Mustang. Steve is survived by his wife, Mary, 2 sons, Steven D. (Katharine) Lush of Portage, Charles and daughter, Sherry (Edward) Howard of Lake Station, 5 grandchildren: Zachary, Reno, Victoria, Steven L. and Emily, 1great grandchild, Aven, mother, Wanda (Donald) Westbury of Portage, brother, Roy C. (Kathleen) Lush of Tennessee, 3 sisters, Sherry Lush of Niles, Michigan, Nova (Fred) Mossman of Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Kimberly Taylor of Portage, brother-in-law, Marvin Wilson of Portage, sister-in-law, Linda (Larry) Shadley of Portage, numerous aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy L. Lush and twin-brothers, Perry & Garry Lush. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-9 PM and Wednesday form 2-9 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 219-962-1606 or online www.ReesFuneralHomes.com.
