SYLVIA T. TERRY
Sylvia T. (McCaleb) Terry, age 71, of Crown Point, formerly of Portsmouth and Richmond, VA, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010. Sylvia was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown Point. She was a retired school teacher from the Portsmouth, VA school system. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest A. and Cecelia M. McCaleb; brother Ernest H. McCaleb and sister Cecelia Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Willie L. Terry of Crown Point; 1 sister, Clara McCaleb Hoggard (David) of Richmond, VA; stepson Jason (Toni) Terry and step-grandchildren Chloe and Gaven Terry, all of South Holland, IL; many loving nephews and nieces, and a host of relatives and friends, including several Godchildren. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Rev. David Gosnell officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. (Time of Service). In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
