Victor Garmon

1957 - 2021

Victor Garmon a long-time resident of Gary, Indiana was born on December 6, 1957 to the proud parents of Paul and Ivy Jean Garmon. He was a member of West Side High School's Class of 1975. On Thursday, July 1, 2021 Victor was called home to rest in eternity. He is preceded in death by his father Paul Garmon and mother Ivy Jean Bailey. He leaves to cherish his fond memories siblings Angelique Shaw of Highland, IN, Willette Hooks of Margate, FL, Sandra Hooks of Coral Springs, FL, and Frank Leavy II of Mankato, MN; four nephews and three nieces Gregory, Brian, Adam, Dasan, Ivy, Melita, and Sunny; three great nephews and two great nieces Cameren, Zabriel, Ahmani, Tatum, and Carmella; two aunts and one uncle who were his heart, Reighlanda MacArthur and Arnetta (Carl) Estelle both of Kissimmee, FL, and Kenneth Garmon of Gary, IN; bonus dad Jas. Byron Hooks, Jr.; special cousin Yvonne Belk-Dansby affectionately known as "Big Red" of Wauconda, IL; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Memorial Service Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Street Church of God, 2101 Washington Street Rev. Michael Dotson Pastor. Evangelist Dr. Angel Shaw officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
