Words can't express the feeling of loss that I'm sure we all feel at Wallace's transition. Like most people that know him, it's hard to say the name Wallace. Even though that's his formal name. We all know him as "Wally - Gator" or "Gator" for short, because he was always comfortable enough to acknowledge you with friendship and an outreached hand. No matter what you called him! My heart grieves for His wife, his Family, Friends & our Roosevelt Family! He will be missed until we meet again! Rest Dear Brother! And thank you and Valerie for your kindness and patients when helping me and my Family with the arrangements, our brother! Just a month ago! Love You! You will be missed!

My Sister Valerie
Words can't express my feelings now...speechless but know I will do whatever you need me to do...

Wallace smile was priceless and he's slick talking and walking away laughing...

I remember at Momma Pasty and Doc renewed of wedding vows his speech about that he thought they were all of that and a bag of chips and pass Doc a bag of chips...

Then when him talking to Teshia when we were setting up food at the funeral home her saying Uncle Wallace I have to go now before Momma calls me... then her telling him see now You got me in trouble she hollowing my name...

Then when my Brother would call me by Ma'Eva Echols I told him you been knowing me to long no ones ever calls me that anymore...he'd smile and walk away...

Will miss your smiling faces and talking slick when your Wife Valerie would say certain things to You... and
Your Boss"daugther" Carmelita would say or threaten to firer You...
Respectfully submitted,

Gone never will be forgotten...

As a classmate, beginning at Garnett Elementary School, I can tell you that "Gator" was the coolest, someone I always admired and looked up to. I wanted to walk like Wallace, dress like Wallace, and although I had limited athletic gifts, wanted to play basketball like Wallace. Wallace was truly a brother...he was the BEST!!! In this moment, I join the entire community in feeling outrage that this has happened while simultaneously giving thanks to God for the gift of shared time and space with one who was valued and loved by all who knew him. What a wonderful life journey!! Blessings to you Valerie and the entire family during this season of transition but ultimately celebration of the life of Wallace "Gator' Broadnax.
