Walter J. Fleischer

WALTER J. FLEISCHER Valparaiso, Indiana Walter J. Fleischer, 66, of Valparaiso, passed away on June 14, 2009, at Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation. He was born on February 23, 1943 in East Chicago to Dr. Jacob C. and Marie (Tilberg) Fleischer who both preceded him in death. He had worked in the Union for the Local 697 IBEW for 25 years. He is survived by a daughter, Sue E. (Mike) King of Hobart; and a brother, James E. (Carol) Fleischer of Evansville. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Nicole King, Danielle King, Zachary King, Codi North, Hope Fleischer, and Megan Fleischer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Kivikangus) Fleischer; son, Jacob Fleischer; and long time companion, Lois A. Schmutzler. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 12:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
