Wither Joiner Obituary

Wither Jean Sanders (Dear) began her journey into the world on the beautiful day of August 30, 1940 in Macon, MS. She was born to Lillie Mae Arnold and Sam Polk. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Drake Hill Baptist Church in Macon, MS. She was united in holy matrimony to Morris Lee Joiner on December 22, 1960 and to this union four beautiful children were born Larry Joiner, Kimmie Joiner, Maurice Joiner and Anthony Joiner. Wither Jean and her husband Morris Lee Joiner moved to Gary, Indiana in 1961 and she dedicated her life to being the best mom, wife and homemaker there ever was! In 1986 she began a career as a personal assistant for Attorney Cora Vaughn of Gary, Indiana and retired in 1996. She was a member of Israel CME Church where she was on the usher board and served in the women's ministry. She was a natural born cook that was known for her homemade soup, potato salad and "Chitlin's". She had a love for gardening, yard work and was a true servant and giver for the Lord Jesus Christ. Preceding her on her eternal flight were her parents Lillie Mae Arnold and Sam Polk, husband Morris Lee Joiner, Ella Mae Arnold and Roy Tate. The Celebration of life will continue through her children Larry (Carol) Joiner, Maurice (Diann)Joiner, Kimmie Vandever (Jeff) and Anthony Joiner. Grandchildren: Brandon Vandever, Bianca Joiner, Jaden Vandever and Marcus Joiner.
