Barbara L. LeRoy

Neenah - Barbara L. LeRoy, age 68 of Neenah, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was born July 6, 1950 to the late John and Helen (Cumings) Pingel. On October 2, 1976, she married Michael LeRoy. Together they had children and were blessed with almost 40 years of marriage before he passed in March 2016.

Barb will be remembered as a woman with a giant heart of gold and a memory like a steel trap. She kept everyone organized and was always aware of birthdays, anniversaries, and other important dates. She'd watch the news multiple times a day and could report the weather at any given time. She would even recall the weather when telling stories and sharing memories. Her big heart was evident by the droves of children constantly at their home while the kids were young. Barb and Mike were always so inviting, and opened their home to anyone. In her death, Barb would be honored that she was an eye donor, knowing that someone else would be able to see the world through her eyes.

Barb was a woman who wore many hats. She spent many years working at banking establishments, but also enjoyed her part-time jobs working in various fields, such as floral delivery for Sterling Gardens, and being a very loved receptionist at Salon Expressions in Menasha, but her favorite job was taking care of her family. She was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren, as family was most important to her.

Barb also liked to travel, visiting the Florida Keys and San Diego, but also enjoyed attending Packer games and watching baseball. In her free time she loved being outside in the garden and listening to music, specifically Barry Manilow.

Barb will be missed by her four children: Jason LeRoy; Jennifer (Jesse) Miller; Ben (Emily) LeRoy; and Josh LeRoy; her grandchildren: Lauren LeRoy; Payton and Max Miller; and Parker, Elsie, and Michael LeRoy; by her sister, Connie Pingel; and her brother, Chuck Pingel. She is further survived by her niece Sarah (Tim Beaman) Breitreiter and their daughter, Braelyn. She was preceded in death by Mike, and by her sister, Kathy Breitreiter.

A memorial service for Barb will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Mike and Barb will be inurned together in Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
