Dan was a great friend to me, we loved playing jokes on each other. I will miss smelling his camp fires and asking me if I want a beer. He would do anything for people. I know Dan is in a good place and will miss him dearly.

Vi, Jenny, Mike and Family,
We were so sad to hear about Danny's accident. I was fortunate enough to meet Dan 25+ years ago when I moved back to MC. He was a true friend who loved his family and loved his children and all there friends. My wife and I have had a lot of great times over the years with golf trips, hanging with the boys when they were growing up and at the pool hall. Dan loved kids and we cannot begin to thank you Vi for everything that you guys did for Dan and Chris. Dan will be missed by many, but I want you to know that when we think of him, which we will, we will remember a man who truly loved his family, LIFE, and was a true friend. God bless you in this difficult time but remember he is looking down and will always be an important part of your life's.

I knew Dan Bob for a little over 3 years. As a visitor to Appleton and with accent I specifically remember one of our first encounters where Dan bob was talking about the Yankees and having recently just read a book about the Yankees former owner I imputed my opinion. We got into a debate of how much he purchased the team for originally. I don't think he believed me at first but he did come back into the bar the next day and asked if baseball even existed down there in Australia, naturally being from New Zealand I wasn't too impressed but he giggled. ( he knew I wasn't from Australia).
From then on I always enjoyed the banter we would share often sitting in the bar watching ball and enjoying a cold one.
Rest easy old man
