Darlene J. Lidbeck, 79, of Kingsford, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015, at the Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI.

Darlene was born April 3, 1936, in Kingsford, MI, daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Ohlson) Marcelini. On October 8, 1955, she married her high school sweetheart, Ernest Lidbeck. Darlene worked at JC Penny in Appleton, for about 10 years and then as a cook at Appleton Medical for several years, retiring in 1999. Shortly after retiring, Darlene and Ernest moved back to the Kingsford area to buy a family grocery store, Lidbeck's Market, which they owned and operated for several years. She was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Darlene enjoyed going to rummage sales, crafting, visiting patients at the V.A. Hospital in Iron Mountain and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Larry Lidbeck; two daughters, Penny (Alan) Hildebrand and Tammy Clash; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Steinbach, Brittany, Joseph, Nicholas, and Tiffany Hildebrand and Corey and Tyler Clash; three great-grandchildren, Paige and Carter Steinbach and Gianna Torres; a brother, Douglas Marcelini; sisters, Donna Detample and Virgie (Don) Pirlot; a sister-in-law, Bonnie (Earl) Sexton; and many nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 2008; brothers-in-law, Don Lidbeck and Merrill Marble; sisters-in-law, Karen Hoes and Doreen Marcelini; and a niece Linda DeBeck.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
