Matsche, David C.

David Clarence Matsche, age 63, died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Cherry Meadows following a 3 ? year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

David was born on November 22, 1947, son of Clarence and Dolores (Reichenberger) Matsche. David graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 1969 with a BA in accounting. He received his CPA license and started his career in public accounting. He then entered the private sector. David was last employed at Wolf River Lumber Co. from 1996 until the time of his illness in 2007. He was also an Army veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his father, Clarence and sister Janis. He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton with Rev. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. There will be no visitation.

David's family would like to thank the staff at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center for all their loving care and support of David during his illness.

I went to St. John School, LHS, and UW-O with Dave. I was so sorry to just find out about his passing in the UW-O Alum. News. My deepest sympathy to his family.
