Donald Tanck Obituary
Donald Henry Tanck, 85, of Appleton, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Donald was born on February 1, 1930, son of the late John and Barbara (Kandler) Tanck.
Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran. He also worked for AT&T (formerly Bell Telephone Co.) as an installer for many years until his retirement. Donald's passion was fishing. He also greatly enjoyed woodworking, his favorite being bird houses, as well as gardening, crossword puzzles, and supporting his Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Donald is survived by his 3 children: Jerry (Lori) Tanck, Liz Tanck, and Gary Tanck; 7 grandchildren: Lisa (Tom) Greco, Becky (Garon) Cobb, Jeremy Tanck, Jordan Tanck, Travis Snyder, Jane Snyder (Special Friend Darin Derenne), and Dustin Snyder; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Calvin Tanck, Ralph Tanck, and Raymond Tanck; 2 sisters: Sarah (Bill) Anschuz and Ruby Jacobson; and one sister-in-law: Marietta Tanck. Donald is further survived by many more nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife: Jane; son: Donald, Jr.; daughter: Sally, brother: Arnie; and sister: Margaret.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. RICHMOND ST., APPLETON, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Relatives and friends may call on the family from 1:00PM until the time of service. Entombment Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Donald's name.
