Doris Kropp Obituary

Doris Kropp

Seymour - Doris J. Kropp, 74, of Seymour passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born October 1, 1943, daughter of the late Robert and Leona (Pennenberg) De Ruyter.

On August 6, 1966 she was united in marriage to Gary Kropp at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Isaar. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2015.

Doris and Gary farmed together in the Town of Seymour for many years, and also operated a seed dealership.

She was the hardest working person that any of the family knew. Working was considered her hobby. More importantly than anything else, she loved her family and enjoyed attending the grandchildren's activities.

Doris is survived by her daughters: Jodi (Jim) Soltvedt, Seymour; Julie (special friend Chad) Hintz, Seymour; grandchildren: Zac (special friend Amber) Soltvedt, Nathan Soltvedt, Derek Hintz and McKenzie Hintz; sisters and brothers: Bonnie Laskowski, Beverly (Milton) Krause, Richard (Sherry) De Ruyter, all of Seymour, Daniel De Ruyter, Green Bay; Ronald (Janelle) De Ruyter, Oneida; sister-in-law, Germaine (Richard) Hock; brother-in-law, Don (Cindy) Kropp.

Further survived by her four-legged children: Cocoa and Mufassa. Also survived by many special Godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary; son-in-law, Terry Hintz; brother, Kenneth (Mary) De Ruyter; sister, Joy Danforth; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lloyd and Verona Kropp; brother-in-law, Ron Laskowski; nephew, John Krause.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a parish prayer service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar, from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Fr. Brian Belongia and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Bonnie I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. I know you love your brothers and sisters so much. I am hoping this loss and the recent loss of your husband Ralph bring you and all of your children closer as it should be. We are saying a prayer for you and your family.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. I find John 11:1-44 very comforting.

Sincerely
DB
