Dorothy Van Minsel Obituary
Dorothy E. Van Minsel (Shaurette), age 86, of Lake Mills, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home.
A family service will be held at a later date. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.
Dorothy Eleanor Tuchalski was born on July 29, 1931 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John J. and Eleanore M.Tuchalski. She was united in marriage to Bernard Neal Shaurette. Bernard preceded her in death in 1974. Dorothy enjoyed going for coffee and shopping. She loved spending time with her children, whom she loved. Her cockatoo Jamie Sue was very special to her.
Dorothy is survived by four children, Ronald (Doris) Shaurette of Gillett, WI, Steve (Brenda) Shaurette of Menasha, WI, Suzette (Theodore) Johnson of Johnson Creek, WI and Debra (Steve) McGill of South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Lisa Marie, Jason Allen, Jimmy, Amanda E., Laura, Steven Paul (Melissa), Neal, Sunny and Larry Jr.; great-grandchildren, Steven Jr., David and many more. She was further preceded in death by her parents, son, Bernard "Butch" Shaurette and grandson, Kyle C. Kurszewski.
