This was my Grampa. He was amazing,he always was willing to play cards and tell his grand kids stories. One of my favorite stories was when he told us that when he was younger he was a red headed girl and owned an alligator. My Grampa was an inspiration to many. He will be missed.

Everyone of us who knew Gene was truely blessed. He is one in a Million. There is a big game of "Nicki" with the Zemlock Gang up in Heaven. Love you all, Karen and Al

Donna and family, my dad and I offer our deepest sympathies. We worked indirectly with Gene at American Can and yes, he was an inspiration to everyone that met him and he had a wonderful sense of humor and outlook on life. God bless you all. Gene is now walking with Our Lord. On behalf of Clayton Gardinier and myself (formerly L.Mickelson),

Donna, you have my deepest sympathy for your loss. Having recently also losing my husband of 45 years, I think I have a good idea of what you and your family are going through. Always loved talking with Gene and he will be a great loss to everyone. God be with you and your family.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Allen family on the passing of Gene! What a guy, what an inspiration and encouragement to all those he came in contact with. He was an overcomer like no one else I have ever met. May the Holy Spirit embrace each of you whenever the grief gets too much; each one grieves in a different manner and mourning takes as long as it takes. Our love and prayers, Marshall & Vanice Schultz
