Eva Browning Obituary
Appleton - Eva Ruth Browning passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on March 2, 2018 in Appleton, Wisconsin after a brief illness. She was born to Paul Tietz and Elfriede (Lehmen) Tietz on June 3, 1928 in Berlin-Spandau, Germany. After coming to the United States in 1953, she lived in Peoria, Illinois; the Detroit area of Michigan; and the Madison and Appleton areas of Wisconsin. In 1984 she married Robert Carol Browning.
She is survived by her daughter Margit (Dale) Rezabek and her stepchildren Carolynn Stanley, Susan Benoit, Margaret Browning (Bernard Craig), and Brian (Judy) Browning. She is also survived by her grandsons Tyler, Kevin (fiancé, Dahee Kim), Douglas, and Brad Rezabek, as well as her step-grandchildren Robert (Wendy) Stanley, James (Jessica) Stanley, Laura Benoit, Michael Benoit, Hilary Browning-Craig (Justin Landers), Ryan (Colby) Browning-Craig, Nicholas Browning, and Jennifer Browning; and several step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend Maxine Dennis and the family of another dear friend, the late John Haugen. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Browning, in 1997, and her dear friend, John Haugen, in 2010.
Eva touched the lives of many people. Her grandchildren and step-grandchildren especially appreciated her support, encouragement, and zest for life. Eva will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Her family extends sincere gratitude to the staff of ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on June 3rd; details to follow.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. Sorry we will be unable to attend Eva's memorial on June 2 due to my husband's on going back problems that wouldn't allow such a long trip from Sun Prairie. On behalf of dozens of Silver Sneakers at Appleton X-perience gym we offer our deep sympathy to family and friends of "Our Eva". We will miss her in center chair in the class. On her 88th birthday 2 years ago we gave her a card and balloon from the regulars in class. She was embarrassed at the fuss and asked that we hide the balloon in weight room during class. We did coax a few pictures after class. What a cutie she was! She was an inspiration to me in her high 80s to my early 70s. She also was one of the people who offered me comfort as I lost my husband in December 2016. I'll miss her smile, kind eyes and often gentle caring pat on my face. I'm grateful for the bright smiling picture included in her obituary. We were all blessed by her presence in our lives! I hope to join in her memorial gathering on her 90tj bday. If I miss the announcement, please know Silver Sneakers classmates are with her in spirit.
