Gail Steinmetz Obituary

Gail G. Steinmetz, 65, passed away on September 14, 2011 at his home. Gail was born in Fond du Lac on September 14, 1946, a son to George & Eunice Steinmetz. He served in the United States Army and is a Viet Nam veteran. Gail was employed at Tri-County Ready Mix in New Holstein and later at Carew Concrete in Fond du Lac, retiring in 2008. He married Mary Mortimer on January 22, 1977 in Chilton WI. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.

Gail is survived by his wife, Mary; a brother, Gary (Janet) Steinmetz; a nephew, Keith (Robin) Steinmetz; a niece, Vicky (Delbert) Harvey, all of Chino Valley AZ; brothers-in-law: Peter Mortimer, Chilton and Richard (Sandy) Mortimer, Kearns UT; and friends.

Relatives and friends may call at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac, on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM.

Services at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 17, a Memorial Service will be celebrated at Hope Lutheran Church. Pastor Steve Huff will officiate. Military Honors will conclude the service and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. A Memorial in his name is being established.
