Gary James, age 81, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014. He was born June 27, 1933 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to parents John and Susan (Jackson) James. Gary grew up in Baltimore, MD. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was proud to be the President of the Newspaper Guild at the Baltimore Sun. After working many years in the newspaper industry in Baltimore, Chicago, and Dallas, he retired to Menasha, WI to be near his children and grandchildren. Gary loved tending to his home and garden. A very generous and genial man, Gary was always delighted to help others.

Gary is survived by his wife, Paulette James; three children, Kathleen O'Shaughnessy, Thomas (Christine) O'Shaughnessy and Molly (Michael) Smith; five grandchildren, Emma, Charlie and Tommy O'Shaughnessy, Ella and Ty Smith. Also loved by other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son John and four sisters.

Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners' Hospitals for Children. Please visit, www.ballhornchapels.com to sign the guestbook.
