Geraldine Ellsworth Obituary
Geraldine Nancy Ellsworth was born September 15, 1934 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Sarva and Agatha Rodenko. She died peacefully December 28, 2020 in Venice, Florida at the age of 86.
Geri grew up in Niagara Falls, New York. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and after graduation worked as a paralegal in a law office. Geri met Harold L. Ellsworth when a friend she rode to work with offered Harold a ride home too. The rest is history and they were married December 4, 1954. They moved a number of times in their marriage yet Geri always had a gift for making each new house a home for the family. In 1978 the family moved to Appleton, WI which became their permanent home. Geri was the heart of the family and always put others before herself. She loved music, reading, sewing, nature, and the wonderful friends she met along the way. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, was involved in various social clubs, and active in many charitable organizations throughout her life. Geri moved to Venice, Florida in 2017.
Geri was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold L. Ellsworth, and sister Dorothy Grabowski. She is survived by sister Lorraine Stefik, many nieces and nephews, children Lori (Joe) Galasso, Harold (Sue) Ellsworth, Linda (Matt) Gruntner, & Paul (Jill) Ellsworth, and by grandchildren Scott (Kim),Laura(Derek), Stephen (Allison), Martha (Sean), Holly, Jamie (Brady) Amy, Sam, Nathan, & Myah and 14 great grandchildren.
A private family funeral will take place at a later date. Notes may be sent to the Ellsworth family at: 317 Loftwood Ter., Colgate, WI 53017
In lieu of flowers, donations in Geri's memory may be made to Rawhide Youth Services in New London, Wisconsin and Harbor House, Appleton, Wisconsin. If you write a note with a donation, please use this email [email protected] to ensure that we receive it.
