Gordon John Schleicher

Gordon J. Schleicher, 96, of Neenah, died on June 12, 2012, at Gardens of Fountain Way, in Menasha. Gordon was born on July 21, 1915, in Almond, WI, son of John and Media Schleicher. On August 21, 1938, he was united in marriage to Velva Bowen, in Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2002. Gordon loved gardening and traveling. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing lapidary or the art of polishing stones and making jewelry.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Haen, Menasha; three grandchildren: Ken (Melanie) Haen, Neenah, Gary (Becky) Haen, Kaukauna, and Greg Haen, Neenah; four great grandchildren: Dexter, Zach, Garrett, and Ashley Haen; a cousin, Ruth Durrant, other relatives and friends.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will take place at East German Cemetery, Almond. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
