In sorrow and grief, sadness and loss, continued confusion and unresolved heartache, we want to close our hearts. I worked with Jake for a short time at Zillges in Oshkosh. It's fair to say that I liked him from the first moment we met. He had such a great attitude and smile. His hearty appetite for work,life and the outdoors was second to none. To his family and friends. May God comfort you through this difficult time.

I did not know Jake, but his cousin Ashlee is my sister in-law and having lost a cousin about a year ago in a similar way, makes me truly feel for all close to him. Know that your son, grandson, brother, friend, etc is on a mission much greater than what life on Earth could help him achieve. And although he is no longer "here", he is always with you. Life is forever changed for many, but it will go on and you will learn how to lift your head from your pillow each day, even if its just because you know that's what he'd want. Blessings to you all. And Ashlee, I send you an extra big hug from the other side of the world!

So saddened by the loss of this very special man. It was fun to watch him grow at our annual family reunions. The kickball games and Jacob's interactions with his brothers were entertaining. I loved hearing about his plans and it was great to hear that he was following through. His smile, atitude and energy were like a lighthouse. Our interactions with Jacob were few, but he left a solid impression on each of us. We will miss him. May he rest in peace.
