Jesse Jennerjohn Obituary

Jesse J. Jennerjohn

Hortonville - Jesse James Jennerjohn, son, brother, uncle and friend lost his battle with depression; and passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 as a result of suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling right now with mental health issues, please text HOPELINE to 741741.

Jesse was born in New London, WI on March 6th, 1990 to Larry and Patricia (Hedtke) Jennerjohn. Early on in life, we knew that Jesse was going to grow into a unique, talented, strong and responsible young man. He didn't confine himself to just one arena, or one sport. He was outgoing and adventurous from the time he was born.

He worked hard and ran fast, but he is mostly remembered for his smile, that could light up the room. Jesse graduated from Hortonville High school class of 2008. Jesse continued his education attending Fox Valley Technical College for apprentice label and printing. To pay for school, he was employed by Building Services within the Hortonville Area School District. In 2011, Jesse began his successful career at Heartland Label Printers. A job he loved, and enjoyed. Jesse was a hard worker, and his dedication to his career path showed each and every day. He was one of the hardest working individuals you would ever meet.

Jesse loved the limelight, but he also loved the sunlight. He was an avid outdoorsman, beginning at a young age always outside playing football with the neighbor boys, or shooting hoops with his brothers. Jesse took every chance he could to fly fish, hunt, draw, search for hidden treasure with his metal detector, garden, game with his brother Jeremy, trips to the casino, watching the Packers and Brewers, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed living organically and having a beautiful, bountiful garden. If you passed his car along the road way, it was not abandoned. He was simply on the hunt for wild asparagus, or berries. Most times not so successful in those hunts, but he still enjoyed going to the fields with his mom to pick berries.

He is survived by: his parents, Larry and Patricia (Patty) Jennerjohn and his siblings Larry Michael (Michele) Jennerjohn and their children Kaley (Brandon) and Tayton Jennerjohn, Devon Dent and Jared Shadduck, Michelle (Nick) Kelly and their children Brianna Maass, Alayna and Emma Kelly, Jeremy Jennerjohn and his children Ruby Akers, Jordan and Noah Jennerjohn; Godparents Tammy Nennig and Mark Jennerjohn; and a dear friend Dawn De Guelle. Jesse is further survived by numerous cousins, friends and other relatives.

Jesse was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carlton and Alice Jennerjohn, maternal grandparents Arnold and Ruby Hedtke, great Uncles Arnold Hedtke Jr, Steven Hedtke, Art Schuelke, and Dennis Jennerjohn.

The funeral for Jesse will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make a donation to your local wildlife sanctuary. Jesse would love it if you honored his life's outdoor passion.

Larry and Patty along with the family, also wish to thank all of their family and friends for their unwavering support during this especially difficult period of life.

Hope you get the wall mounter worthy Rainbow Trout in that heavenly stream. Love, Jeremy & Nick

Jesse, I was so blessed to be a part of your life, being your Godmother is something I will always cherish. Missing that big smile and laugh. Until we meet again, Love Tammy

Jesse, thank you for teaching me so much and allowing me to be part of your journey. You will be deeply missed. You did belong here… but I know God has you safe. Hugs, Dawn

Our lives will be a little less bright without your smile, but we will feel its warmth from Heaven. We pray that you found the peace that you sought. We are heartbroken losing you. We will forever be proud to call you our son. Our unending love, Mom and Dad
