Judith Dessort Obituary

Judith Ann Dessort

Neenah - Judith Ann Dessort, age 79, was born to eternal life on Monday, August 20, 2018 due to complications from hip surgery after a recent fall. She was born on August 21, 1938 to the late Edward and Agnes (Nowak) Francart and resided in Neenah. Judy married Rudolph Dessort Jr on May 4, 1957, and they were blessed with two children. She was an active member at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Menasha and especially enjoyed singing in the choir. Judy was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the organ. She was a very good cook, took pride in her crocheting abilities, and had enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader. Judy had worked for a newspaper office, their former restaurant, and a candy store. Family was of utmost importance to her. Those who knew Judy will remember her for her big heart and thoughtful and caring ways. Judy's many years of pain and suffering is now over and her family takes great comfort knowing that she's at peace.

She is survived by her husband Rudy Dessort Jr; children, Lynnette (Robert) Lanktree and Mark (Victoria) Dessort; grandchildren, Ashley (Willie) Patton, Nathan Lanktree, Tamara (Jeremy) Miller, and Brandon (Alison) Lanktree; 6 great-grandchildren: Logan, Joel, Jameson, Samantha, Lorelei, and William; brothers, James (Dorothy) Francart and Robert (Helen) Francart; and brother-in-law Robert (Helen) Dessort. Judy was preceded in death by her siblings; Sally (late Norbert) Jackels, Francis "Bud" Francart, Geraldine (late Richard) Heindl, and Ethel (late John Wroblewski) Dessort (late Rudolph Sr).

A private family memorial service will be held. Judy's children would like to recognize their father, Rudy, for being a devoted husband and an exceptionally dedicated caregiver for their mother over the years. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.

So much suffering over the past decade makes one relieved to know she suffers no more. Such a giving person she was and loved by many. I know for a fact she was the best mother in law a person could hope to have. Rest in peace Judy, we can take it from here.

Although we never met Judy, we know she was very loved. So much so that Brandon and Ali named their daughter, Lorelei Ann after her. As Lorelei and Wills grandparents, Glenn and I extend our sincere sentiments and solace to all who knew and loved her.
