Dear Drechsel family,
You may not remember me. My family and I lived kitty corner from you when you lived on Commercial Street in Appleton.
I only learned of Karen's passing today and I was deeply saddened to hear the news.
Over the years Karen and my parents lost touch. Shortly after my dad was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer Karen ran into him in a restaurant. The friendship picked up where it left off. Karen was there at the end with him and was the one who called to tell me of his passing. I am glad she was there with him.
I have no words to take your hurt away, but know that many people loved Karen and she will live on in the lives of those she touched.
Sincerely,
Chris Recker-Piso

Dear family of Karen,
You do not know me because we never met. However, Karen & I were in Bible Study together Tuesday Mornings at the Fox River Mall.
I would like to share comfort in "Life is but a stopping place".
Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what's to be, a resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place far greater than we know. For some, the journey's quicker, for some, the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, we'll claim a great reward and find an everlasting peace, together with the Lord.
With Sympathy,
Ray & Jean Reimann

I am heart broken to learn of Karen's passing. I knew Karen very well. When I was 11 years old and was living in Wisconsin... I first met Karen at the Menasha Library (back in 1990)... I walked up to the desk she worked at and I told her "You're Pretty." She wrote me a note back and said "Karen, you're prettier. -Karen". She always knew how to make people smile. My Heart goes out her family and other close friends. Karen will be sadly missed. I Love you Karen and I already miss you very much !

I am very sorry for your loss. I use to see her when she stopped at her daughter tracey's house to feed the cats. She was a very sweet lady and loved by her family. I know she is looking down and watching her family each day. So remember the good times and smiles and keep that warm feeling in your heart for her.

My prayers go out to you .

It was amazing having Karen's wonderful presence when she visited Copper Rock and getting to know her was icing on the cake. She will be missed very much. I'm sure she's sipping on a Mocha with 1/2 the flavor (because today is special!). All the staff at Copper Rock Coffee Company will miss her dearly. Our deepest love, Copper Rock.

I met Karen in the summer of 1976 and we immediately became friends and have shared some wonderful memories. We have been through a lot in these years and I could always count on Karen to be there for me. She was a special, dear, friend who will be missed every day. It is hard to find the right words at times like this but please know that a lot of people will share the sorrow in your hearts at this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,

Dear Rick,Tracy,Lindsey,Carrie,Jon,Evan & Kyle,
From the moment I met Karen,30 plus years ago,I knew right away Karen was a special, unique person. She became my forever friend. When you looked into Karen's eyes the beauty of her soul was revealed. She had such a wonderful sense of humor. She was full of grace, compassion(especially for the elderly),kindness,a truly sweet & caring person. Her faith & courage was astounding. She was a perfect example of God's workmanship. She never once complained about her cancer, but rather accepted it as a blessing from God.She saw it as an opportunity for her to be an example to her family of what faith is really all about. She never once doubted God's plan for her.She only spoke of her love for her family and what a blessing her family has been to her.She loved you all so much. She wanted her family to know Heaven is for real.I miss Karen terribly but know she is at peace.Remember, there are no tears beyond the gates.
With my deepest sympathy & love.

Karen was such a blessing to my father, who passed away last year. He was in his 80's and Karen would set aside books she knew he would like so he didn't have to walk around the library. Rest in peace dear lady and my deepest sympathies to your family and friends.
