Kyle A. Ahola

Kimberly - Kyle A. Ahola, 47, Kimberly, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

He was born September 3, 1973 at Torrejon AFB, Spain, a son of Byron and Marta (Sheveland) Ahola. Kyle was a 1992 graduate of Ontonagon Area High School and went on to attend Gogebic Community College for Architecture/CAD and NWTC for Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design. Kyle worked at Jones Sign in DePere as the Director of Project Development and Installation.

Kyle aka "Tower of Power" was a loving, devoted husband, stepfather, son, brother, and friend to many. Kyle was close with his family, loved spending time with his loved ones, building/designing projects both at work and at home, fishing, hunting, music, sci-fi movies, working outside, and was well known for his love of Starbucks and his keen fashion sense (Slick the Dr. of Style, as they called him) - not the least of which-- those shoes! He was a mentor and teacher, had a goofy/playful personality, and made us all laugh (and sometimes shake our heads - which he always considered a "win" that brought him joy!) Kyle was a fantastic, brilliant man and will be missed by many. He will be remembered and loved forever.

Kyle leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Traci Ahola, his step-daughter, Callie Lewis (special friend Matt Brouillard), step-son, Alexander Aschenbrener, his parents, Byron and Marta Ahola, his sister, Kirsten Ahola, his brother, Kayle (Jennifer) Ahola and his niece, Anneli Ahola. He is further survived by other close family and friends.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial visitation for Kyle will be SATURDAY, April 24, 2021 from 9 to 11 AM at VERKUILEN VAN DEURZEN FUNERAL HOME (2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, WI 54130). A memorial service will follow at 11 AM. Final rest will be private.

I just heard about Kyle's passing and wanted to offer sincere condolences to his family and friends. I worked with Kyle at Palmer Johnson Yachts for several years and we stayed in touch through a fantasy football league. Kyle was always in a good mood even when work was tough. I am glad to have known him and will miss seeing the TOWER OF POWER!! team name in our league next year.

Kyle was a kind and fun loving person. He was a good neighbor and friend to Josh and Kim Velleman,in fact Josh and Kim first met at Kyles house, so he will always be part of their story as a couple. His passing leaves a void. May his memory be a blessing

I love how everyone comments on his sense of style, but I remember one Saturday we had to work, Kyle rolled in with a ratty cut off t-shirt and cut-off jeans!

Sheepshead at lunch.
Blizzard runs.

Nicknames.

He was a huge presence.

Such a good friend.
