Leonard W. Luoma, Age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2014. He was born on May 14, 1919 in Wakefield MI, son of the late Mary (Johnson) and William Luoma. Leonard graduated from Wakefield High School in 1937.

Leonard was employed by Roddis Lumber in Marshfield WI, where he met the love of his life, Irene Maria (Ohm). They were united in marriage in 1940 and resided in Wakefield MI. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After moving to Neenah WI, he worked as an electrician for the Neenah Foundry until retiring in 1986. He was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, Neenah since 1960. He valued the many friendships made over the years at the Neenah-Menasha Y, FVTC, church and work. He loved football and baseball, and always wished he had more time to become a better golfer. Leonard's passion was learning, and he found great joy in fabricating, repairing, inventing, and problem solving.

He is survived by his daughters, Alyce Marie (Jim) Thurber, Flomaton AL; Brenda Heyn, Menasha WI; Carrie Heyn, Neenah WI; grandson, Max Figlinski, Menasha WI, as well as many other relatives and friends in Michigan, Minnesota, Finland, and Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Irene.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, 1228 S. Park Ave., Neenah, with the Rev. Ricky Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Entombment will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the church.
