Margaret M (Miller) Zahn

Kimberly - Margaret M (Miller) Zahn passed away at her home on Friday, November 16, 2018 at age 100.

She was born in the town of Almon on August 26, 1918, the 5th of 10 children of Anna (Pukall) Miller and Julius Miller.

Margaret worked as a housekeeper in Appleton, Chicago and Minneapolis for many years and also in a defense plant during WW2.

She was married to Frank Wichman on May 9, 1942 until his death on May 22, 1953.

She later married Ervin Zahn on September 24, 1955. Margaret was the family historian keeping track of marriages births and deaths of her family. She also enjoyed playing cards, knitting and was active in her home church St John's in Mattoon, WI.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Appleby (Special friend Don); 2 Grandsons Adam and Sam Appleby and one brother Herbert Miller.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Ervin, 3 brothers Clarence, Rudolph and Chester Miller, 5 sisters Gladys Leiskau, Gertrude Zahn, Alice Dolan, Ruth Bastiansen and Harriett Hansen and her mother Anna Miller and father Julius Miller.

A funeral service for Margaret will be held at Valley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday 21, 2018. Visitation will start from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service.
