Michael J. Kiesow

Mike Kiesow of Appleton, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. He was born in Shawano on August 12, 1950, son of the late Harvey and Mary (Maccaux) Kiesow. He graduated from high school in Green Bay, and also attended the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee. Mike was married to Linda who preceded him in death in 2000. Later, he married Julie.

Mike was a well known interior designer in the area and often partnered with his good friend Dennis Vorpahl. He enjoyed painting, fishing, playing cards, and vacationing.

Mike is survived by his wife: Julie Kiesow of Neenah; two daughters: Heather (David ) Rangle and Desiree (David) Hurlbut both of Appleton; a step-son: Kyle Kluever of Neenah; three grandchildren: Jasmin Jacobs, Alexis Rangle, and Isabelle Rangle; a great-granddaughter: Shayla Jacobs; three brothers: Charles (Shawn) Kiesow of Mequon; David (Cheryl) Kiesow of Menasha; and Joseph Kiesow and his special friend Cheryl of Appleton; two sisters: Barbara (Frank) Gifford of Fremont and Mary Ann Zielinski of Menasha. Mike is also survived by his loving foster families, the Andersons and the Loehnings. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Joe, foster fathers Andy Anderson and Gerald (Elaine) Loehning, his first wife Linda, and his dear friend Dennis Vorpahl.

A memorial service for Mike will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Wichmann Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
