It has been a long time since i last saw Mike. But i have fond memories of working with him as a board member of the Timber Rattlers organization. He was a great guy and a wonderful community minded person, he will be missed.

Mike was a wonderful man, a great storyteller and a great family man. I enjoyed every phone call he made to me throughout the many, many years and I will truly, truly miss receiving those phones calls. He was a man that everyone should have taken lessons from on how to treat people and how to enjoy life all at the same time. I truly will miss him and I have all of his family in my thoughts and prayers. It was a sad day when Michael Reese left this earth.

Mike was a great guy. He served on the SECURA Board of Directors for many years. He was a wise and savvy leader, who taught me a great deal about management. Mike will truly be missed. Kay and family I am very sorry for your loss..

Dear Kay and Family,
As I think about Mike tonight, I remember the saying: "What the heart has once loved can never be lost. " Mike's smile, contributions to his community, and joyful, humble, loving personality will live on in your hearts; as well as in the hearts of countless Friends.
God be with you,

Dear Reese Family,
I was not Mike's secretary or admin. I just kept track of him. I sat in the office just down the hall and he always made sure I knew where he was going and when he would be back. I helped him with my copy machines and made sure he had all the labels he needed. He would jam my machines at times and say that he knew better than to do it himself. That was also his reason that he let Kay do things at home
When he left before the weekend he told me he was going to Canada. Apparently some younger guys were going fishing and he needed to go to be sure they had what they needed Any excuse to go fishing.
Mike was very kind to my family. My son Taylor is getting his PHD in fish ecology/biology and Mike had me sending him pictures of the fish he caught.
I will always smile when I think of Mike. He was a very kind and generous man. He will be missed.
Sincerely,
Janet Stewart

Dear Kaye: I was so shocked and really sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was such a dear person and the best sports fan ever. He had a kind word for everyone, and was interested in everything going on in the world around him, especially the sports world. I hope you find comfort in your dear family and in all the wonderful memories you and Mike shared. Love and prayers to you and your family

To the Reese Family,
I will always remember Mike as a kind and generous man, who loved doing good things for others. He was very welcoming to both myself and my wife at Timber Rattler stadium and was like a proud dad as he gave us a tour. Mike loved being around friends and that was always evident at the golf outing he hosted for us at North Shore which was always right before the Major League All Star game. He loved hosting the lunch and setting up teams. He was a sneaky good player who loved to pull off a shot no one thought he could. I can't say I knew Mike as well as some of his other friends, but I took away some characteristics that described Mike. Love your family, friends and treat people with respect. Love your free time to fish, watch baseball and support the Fox Valley in any way you could! I will truly miss him and his smile!
Sincerely,
John Miron

Mike was an inspiration to me and personally helped me succeed while at Pierce. I always thought very highly of Mr. Reese and he will truly be missed. Although I haven't seen him in years, I still have some fond memories like the time I golfed with him and Ray Nitchke. Mike always backed the benefits I worked on; Season to Taste for the Rawhides Boys Ranch and other events. He was a great man. Prayers for you Kay and family.

Kay, We here at the Timber Rattlers are all deeply saddened in the passing of Mike. He was the driving force behind Appleton Baseball. He always took the time to meet everyone on our staff, no matter if they were full-time or an intern. Every spring he would come back from FL and want to talk to Rob about something he had seen in FL, always thinking about ways to help improve the team. Every Christmas Eve Mike would bring the boys out to see Jay in the store and get some T-Rat gear. During the season he would stop out and pick up some promo items for the kids up at Pelican Lake. He was always so generous giving away his season tickets and he would end up sitting in the HC seats talking to Patty and Mary Ann. There are just so many wonderful stories to share about Mike over the past 23 seasons. Please let us know if there is anything you would like us to do to celebrate Mike here at the ballpark.
