Nadine Webster Obituary
Nadine A. Webster, age 94, died peacefully at Brookdale Assisted Living Tuesday April 26, 2016. She was born in Denmark, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Alfrieda Nelson. She was a graduate of Manitowoc High School. On November 25, 1943 she and George Webster were united in marriage in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. During World War II she was employed at Mirro Aluminum inspecting cartridge shells for the war effort. She attended and graduated from the Green Bay Beauty School. Nadine was employed as a beautician in Green Bay, Sheboygan, Appleton and Wausau as her husband's career moved the family. Her skills as a beautician were widely sought after and she had many clients seeking her services.
After retirement Nadine lived in Marion Illinois where she and her husband enjoyed golf, and travelling around the country visiting friends and family. They wintered in Arizona where they eventually lived full time. They returned to Appleton in 2010. She was renowned for her German potato salad and her cookies, favorite memories for her grandchildren. Nadine was known for her laughter and her wonderful smile, a gift she shared until the end.
Nadine is survived by her daughter Cheryl and husband Rusty Foster of Mesa Arizona, her daughter in law Linda Webster of Appleton, grandchildren Michael and Kimberly Foster, George III and Jason Webster, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters in law. She was preceded in death by her husband George, her son George, Jr., her parents and siblings Lorraine and Norbert and their spouses.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Appleton on Saturday, May 21 at 11 am. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family. Memorial gifts may be directed to Heartland Hospice in her name.
