Nancy Herbst Obituary
Nancy Marie (Paulick) Herbst, age 73 of Winneconne, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Theda Clark Medical Center with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Alfred and Katherine (Broderick) Paulick. She married Harold (Sonny) Herbst on June 16, 1956 and together they had five children, Barbara (Tom) Meier of Neenah, Anthony (Nora) Herbst, Katrina (David Jr.) Herbst-Gutche, Michael (Billie Jo) Herbst and Lennard Herbst all of Winneconne.
Nancy enjoyed bowling in the Winneconne Wednesday night league and planning the yearly state tournament trip. She loved crocheting and sewing items for family members. Special times were spent with family camping, playing cards, reading and traveling, she was especially proud of the fact that she made it to all 50 states. She worked for Rice Pharmacy, Wagner Electric Products and Theda Clark Hospital until retiring in 2000.
Along with her five children, Nancy is also survived by her grandchildren, Taylor Meier of Neenah, Paul (fianc? Kylie Grandlich), Jordan, Morgan, Alyssia and Emma Herbst all of Winneconne. She is further survived by her brother, Peter (Nita), Tom (Carol) and Steven Paulick all of Oshkosh; two sisters, Edith Zemske of Oshkosh and Suellen (Bill) Longsine of Wautoma; sister-in-law, Marcy (Milton) Barhke of Oshkosh; brothers-in-law, Arden (Ellen) Herbst of Greenville, Donald (Donna) Herbst of Red Granite as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, Alfred and Kay; brothers, Clifford, Neil, Alfred, David, and Stanley; sisters, Dolores Masterson, Corliss Blansette, Shirley Diener, Karen Marquart; grandparents, William and Martha (Schmidt) Broderick, Anton and Theresa (Mondl) Paulick; sister-in-law, Arlette and her husband James Lee; very special aunt May Conlin; father and mother-in-law, Anton and Margaret (Conlin) Herbst.
Memorial mass for Nancy will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, WI 54986. Nancy always had a great smile. I am so glad that we were able to reconnect in recent years at class luncheons. Thanks for the memories. Condolences to all of her family.
