Phyllis Thatcher Obituary
Phyllis Thatcher, 86, Appleton, passed away peaceably at Rennes Health & Rehab Center, Appleton on Saturday, April 2, 2016. She is now in her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and has been reunited with her husband, Stan. She was born on March 14, 1930 in Waupaca, to the late Theodore and Florence (Johnson) Peterson. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1948. On August 22, 1948 she married Stanley Thatcher.
Phyllis enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing the organ, spending time with family and friends. She and Stan faithfully attended the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Kimberly for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Jyneen) Thatcher, Hugo, MN, Darrell (Brenda) Thatcher, Appleton, and Linda (Ron) Massey, Hilbert; her granddaughter, Melissa (Anthony) Volpe, Appleton; She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stan, her brother, Gary (Arlene) Peterson and her sister, Kathleen (Ken) Salter.
Funeral services for Phyllis will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship, 1200 W. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
Phyllis's family would like to thank the staff at Touchmark, Rennes, and Affinity, for their excellent care.
