Dear Jackie and Family,

I just saw Dick's obituary this morning on line. I am so sorry for your loss. Dick was such a great man, he was a devoted husband, father, volunteer. He had a great work ethic and he loved to have fun too, as I remember from the days of the old Orthopedic Clinic of Neenah parties. I know how dedicated you both were to each other. My prayers will be for you today and in the days to come as you deal with his passing. God Bless.

Working for the DNR, I was privileged to have known Dick since 1990 through the conservation congress, Twin City Rod and Gun Club and Sturgeon for Tomorrow. Dick's passion for outdoor sports and the environment was always an inspiration to me, especially his willingness to give of his time and talents to organizations dedicated to our outdoor heritage. I can only hope that my love of all things outdoors will burn as bright and as long as Dick's did. So long friend. May the fish always be biting and the game plentiful.

December 26, 2017

I add my condolences as well. I knew Dick through my work as the Wildlife Management Director for DNR. Over that 25 year adventure, I really appreciated his dedication to Wisconsin's natural resources and his hard work to be the best Conservation Congress delegate he could be. I especially remember Dick telling me that during my bout with cancer, he prayed for my recovery while in the deer woods. He'd look for a cross among the tree branches and when he found it he would offer up his prayers and intentions. Ever since, I have done the same and Dick is always the first name. He was a pleasure to work with and I will remember with fondness he signature response during Congress roll calls. With a loud voice, he enthusiastically reported in by saying "KOENER, WINNEBAGO COUNTY". It brought a smile to everyone's voice. Rest in pease Dick and look in on us once in awhile. We still need your help!

SORRY ABOUT YOUR LOSS

December 25, 2017

Jackie and family. Our most sincere condolences go out to all of you. We will miss seeing Jackie & Dick in their "customary" pew at church. Dick always made sure to give Tony a firm handshake, and of course a warm smile to Deb. We were fortunate enough to know Jodi and Nancy well, & met Tami a few times as well. It's obvious where they got their wit and charm!! Your children are blessed to have such wonderful parents. Your loss is great, but find comfort in knowing that God is holding Dick in his loving arms. God bless you all.

Dear Jackie and family. Sorry to hear of Dick's passing.
I remember after he stepped down from president of the Twin City Rod and Gun Club and I had to step up to the plate and become president. Those were some mighty big shoes to fill. He was always helpful as we transitioned.
He did a great job in all of the organizations he headed up and will be greatly missed by many!
Wishing you God's peace and comfort at this very difficult time.
Sincerely, Gail and Margaret Minks
