Rita and The extended Family of Dick Koltz: my heart was saddened to hear of Dick's passing. The world has lost a Great and Wonderful Man. In Sunday's scripture (John 15:4-5) "Remain in Me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing." Truly Dick bore so much fruit. RIP my Friend, it is my honor to call You so. Bill

Dear Rita & the Koltz Family,

I'm so sad to learn of Dick's passing. The annual Pals Program hayride at Rock K Ranch for the past 25+ years was always special because of Dick's hospitality. Even this year he insisted on shuttling me in his golf cart to check back for late arrivals. He came back to check on the fire in the shelter and stayed and chatted about the family like always. He cared about family as much as anything. He was a patriarch, a community leader, and a wonderful human being. Your entire family has been a wonderful role model to hundreds of children in the Pals Program over the years. Dick will always be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of meeting him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Koltz Family.

This man was "Wagon Master Patriarch" of the reenactment wagon trains we did the last 2 years. Didn't know him long but words can't express how valuable a short conversation with this wonderful Godly man was. I will NEVER forget sitting next to him for a few minutes & hearing a lifetime of love & life wisdom come from him. I remember him giving thanks to God before each days wagon train miles. I am grateful and humbled to have known him the short time that I have. I KNOW I'll see him again but I am grieving the wait until I sit by his side & listen once again but celebrating that I know it'll be with Jesus. RIP Dick Koltz~ thank you.

A smile is ALWAYS what you got when you saw Dick. My mom and dad loved him and we would go out to the ranch and dad said this is where he grew up. Dick and the whole Koltz family are such a warm family and proud to have known them in our life. A great example of a family with a great man at the head of it. I will pray for strength for the following days. I was a Bob Benzschawel's daugher and now the talk in heaven could be about horses, what do you think!

We are SO VERY sad to hear of Dick's passing. We have many, many wonderful memories of visiting, hayrides, weddings, and even our 30th anniversary party at your warm & friendly Ranch inspired & built up by Dick & Rita. Dick was a God fearing, hard working, caring family man and leaves some big shoes to be filled. He devoted himself to his family & community and leaves us all with a challenge to live better.
