Rita Wolff Obituary
Appleton - Rita Catherine Wolff, age 73 of Appleton, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at her home. She was born September 22, 1947 in Appleton, WI to Emil Wolff and Eileen (Kons) Willems Van Dijk.
Rita enjoyed history, hiking and the outdoors. She volunteered at High Cliff State Park for many years and worked at Riverside Paper and Bemis.
She is survived by her siblings: Raymond (Lois) Wolff of Mountain, WI, Carol (Lawrence) McBrair of Oshkosh, WI , Mary (David) Burch of Madison, WI, James (Cindy) Wolff of Appleton, WI, Johanes (Julie) Willems Van Dijk of Madison, WI, Anthony (Mary) Willems Van Dijk of Cary, IL, Henricus (Toni) Willems Van Djik of Appleton, WI, Margaret (Dean) Obry of Appleton, WI and Maria (Rob) Vlach of Appleton, WI; and brother-in-law Brian Gossen of Menasha; Godchildren: Hugo Kons, Jr., Lisa Gerson, Clifford Burch, and special Godchild Nathan Wolff.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law Robert (Suzanne) Wolff; and sister Corry Gossen.
Visitation for Rita will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton from 9am to 11am with a service to follow at 11am with Pastor Mike Huff officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to FVTC Scholarship Fund and Fox Valley Literary Council

It is with a heavy heart to hear of Rita's passing. She loved life to the fullest and was such a world traveler. Rita was the kindest and most considerate person we have ever known. She will be remembered by many whos life has been touched by her presence.

This is sad news indeed. Although they were aunt and niece, my mom and Rita were close in age making her more like an aunt for me. She was always kind and interested in my life. I will miss her greatly.
