Robert McPherson Obituary
Robert (Bob) Edward McPherson Jr., a resident of Grand Chute, died on September 24, 2015, at the age of 80. A memorial service for Bob will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 100 N. Drew St.

Bobby exemplified the definition of master craftsman. With his wit, smile and occasional spontaneous song, he was a pleasure to learn from and work with and is sorely missed in NY. RIP my friend, fair winds until we meet again...

I first met Bob at the Pioneer Marina 14 years ago as he did needed repairs on my boat. What a gentleman. Always had time to spin a yarn and always a kind word for everyone. You will be missed. May you have fair winds and following seas.

We were so sad to hear today of Bobs passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sally and family. We first met Bob and Sally when they escorted his grand dad to the UK in 1965 although Helen had been a pen pal of Sally since 1947. We met up again in Appleton in 2000 and Cromer in 2001. We will never forget those times

He once came into the shop where I worked and announced with a big smile, "I'm your Uncle!" He was really my dad's cousin ... twin cousins Grandma called them as they were inseparable when they were young. It was a delight to meet him. Since then I've stayed in touch with Sally online and was blessed to see Bob again at a lunch gathering this past August. He was entertaining, my husband and I truly enjoyed talking with him and I'm so glad we had that opportunity. Sally and Rob, our thoughts, love and prayers are with you both.

I met Bob at the OYC when he asked about my cousin moving back to town and learned that Bob knew my grand parents, father, aunts & cousins growing up at Sunset Point. He was always a ready source for our family history. Also got to see him sing opera to my 96 yr. aunt twice! We'll miss you Bob and your kindness to all.

I was 11 or 12 when Bob first came over from Sunset to Oakwood to sail with us. A few years later, I crewed for him on Wild Honey, the Snipe he restored to perfection. It was wonderful to have his friendship again 60 years later when I moved back to Oshkosh two years ago. He and Sally together were the most hospitable of friends. I loved Bob's bright, silly spirit. I wish our friendship could have lasted longer.

bob and i grew up together thru our grandparents at sunset point and enjoyed a warm friendship. bob sang at out wedding on november 1956 in oshkosh. i am sad at his passing and he is in our prayers.fondly, janet mcdonald haddad; st louis, mo.

Our brother, Bob, was fun to be with. He always had an entertaining story and tales about his adventures. Once when Sam was 12 I took him to City Island and NYC for a trip. Bob was taking flying lessons in New Paltz, NY and had arranged for us to drive with him to the airport. There, while Bob was flying, Sam and I were treated to a short flight and Sam took over for several minutes. Bob couldn't see the delight on Sam's face, but I'm sure he knew. We miss you, Bob.

I called him "Uncle Bob." I don't know why. Maybe because "Brother-in-law Bob" was a bit awkward. A great friend, a jovial and unassuming man, Bob is, and will be, greatly missed.
