A Graveside Service will full military honors will take place at noon on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, for Ron J. Rakowski, 58,who died Wednesday in St. Cloud.
Ron was born on October 16, 1956 in Appleton, to John and Harriet (Muehlbauer) Rakowski. He retired after being a Captain in the National Guard for 20 years. Ron enjoyed hunting, home improvements, woodworking, trivia, and playing the guitar.
Ron is survived by his children, Jennifer (Tyson) Wohlers of Clearwater; Steven (Andrea Harris) of Alexandria; significant other, Janet Lindahl of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Blake Rakowski, Mason Ascher, Kailee Loehrer, Ashlee Loehrer, Brandon Loehrer, Parker Hayman; brothers and sisters, Andrea (Dick) Crosby of Odessa; Lori (Mark) Leuthardt of Benson; Joe Rakowski of Kerkhoven; Francis Rakowski of Monticello; and David Rakowski of North Carolina.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Jim Rakowski.

Yep, Ron and I had words. Mostly good. I listened. He listened. We really agreed on allot. I know that for sure he loved his kids. I know for sure he loved his girlfriend. Ron and I never hung out together, other than a beer or two at the Eagles Club. As a man, He was. Be Proud to call him "
dad, Friend, Lover, or what ever. He was a man. He was and is my friend.
