Ronald Ness Obituary

Ness, Ronald

Ronald Ness, 72, of White Lake, formerly of Seymour, passed away Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 15, 1942, son of the late Gustave and Agnes (Cross) Ness.

On February 14, 1970 he was united in marriage to Marilynn Gauthier.

Ron was a Navy veteran during the Cuban Crisis.

Ron had worked for Northeast Asphalt for over 30 years. He was a member of Laborers' International Union for 15 years and a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 139 for 27 years.

Ron enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Ron and Marilynn were inseparable. They loved extended camping trips and the great outdoors. They enjoyed going for joy rides and hitting yard sales and the local Goodwill searching for the deal of the day. Flea markets and craft sales were targets as well. For the last several years, Ron "ENJOYED" helping Marilynn work on her teapot bird feeders in between them hitting the local trout streams and spring ponds.

Ron loved deer hunting with his sons along with bird hunting in the northwoods for grouse, woodcock and pheasants around Shiocton. Ron had a real passion for turkey hunting and hunting rabbits with hounds. Ron was best known for his sense of humor in which he kept to the very end. He always put others before himself and loved being around people and telling jokes. Often he would have a long conversation with a perfect stranger. Ron was also very handy and an expert at working with wood and metal. Due to his perfectionist nature, just don't expect it back anytime soon.

He is survived by wife, Marilynn; children: Ron (Heidi) Ness, Seymour; Alan (Brooke) Ness, Black Creek; Kevin Ness, Seymour; 2 ½ grandchildren, Kylie and Morgan; sister, Margie Creapeau and brothers, Ervin (Bobbie) Ness, both of Milwaukee; Gustave (Leslie) Ness, Green Bay.

Ron is preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Peterson and one brother Donald Ness.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and the visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Military rites to follow. Online condolences can be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

Marilynn and family,
Our deepest sympathy to all of you.
Uncle Ronnie was a "SPECIAL" man. He will be missed by all; most because of his love of the outdoors and his kind heart. These days are difficult; but you each now have another angel watching over you. As to his children keep up with the hunting excursions as he will always be with you. For his grandchildren keep those smiles and laughter flowing because grandpa is right there laughing with you. Love Carmen, Scott, Ryan & Nathan Scharenbroch
