William Andrew "Andy" Mower, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away Jan. 8, 2017, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.
William was born March 25, 1936, in Ashton, Idaho, to William Harold Mower and Lillie Jane House Mower. He grew up and attended schools in the area.
On June 9, 1956, he married Wanda Lou Rawson in St. Anthony, Idaho. To this union were born six children: William, Mary, Pauline, Trenna, Gary and Karen. Andy and Wanda lived in numerous cities throughout southeast Idaho, including Dubois, Rigby, Ashton, Idaho Falls, Roberts, Greentimber and Ucon. He worked as an auto mechanic, carpenter and did timber work.
Andy loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
William is survived by son, William J. (Julie) Mower of Rexburg, Idaho; daughter, Mary (Kelly) Whitaker of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter, Pauline J. (Jeff) Davies of Ririe, Idaho; daughter, Trenna L. (Mike) Biorn of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son, Gary (Cheryl) Mower of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter, Karen F. Maxwell of Boise, Idaho; brothers, Harold A. Mower of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Lyndon J. (Linda) Mower of Twin Falls, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, David Mower; and two sisters, Norma Reynold and Margaret Viola Two.
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. Burial will follow at Ashton Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
