Audrey Doris Bishop Kuykendall, 88, of Idaho Falls, died Feb. 4, 2009, at Lincoln Court Retirement Center.
She was born June 25, 1920, in Aragon, Ga., to John Alfred Bishop and Addie Lou Yarbrough Bishop. She grew up and attended schools in the area. Following graduation, she attended Hills Business College.
On June 28, 1941, she married Roy Emil Kuykendall in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Audrey was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and reading.
Survivors include her son, Melvyn Roy (Sue) Kuykendall of Idaho Falls; brother, Tom Bishop of Rio Vista, Calif.; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Belmont Memorial Cemetery in Fresno, Calif., under the direction of Clovis Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
