Bart Webster Obituary

RENO, Nev. -- Bart Daniel Webster, 40, returned to the Heavenly Father on Aug. 5, 2008, in Reno, Nev., after struggling for years with a difficult illness.

Bart was born Dec. 27, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert and Donna Webster. He served in the U.S. Army reserves after high school and attended USU. He also worked as a fitness trainer.

He married Kristi Young in 1990, and they were sealed in the Jordan River LDS Temple in 1991. They have two children, Parker and Mikayla. He later married Melody Owens. Bart had a zest and enthusiasm for life that was contagious. When young, he loved "Star Wars," making star ships from cardboard and tinfoil. He showed a talent for art, becoming a teacher and artist, specializing in portraits. His students have excelled in art, becoming teachers. He developed new media for airbrush art and was featured in Airbrush Action Magazine with his students. Bart loved to play video games and romp with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the association of his brothers when visiting them. He loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them in California. Our family thanks those who helped bring Bart up in a great neighborhood and church and school. We are grateful to the doctors who helped with health concerns, and friends who listened and encouraged him in his talents and desires. We will miss Bart. The difficulties of this world are now over and he is likely enthusiastically engaged in the spirit world, where he will find peace and joy.

He is survived by his wife, Melody Webster; two children, Parker and Mikayla Webster; parents, Bob and Donna Webster; eight siblings and their companions, Angella Bennett, Monte Webster, April Johnson, Ryan Webster, Forrest Webster, Russell Webster, Heather Stevenson and Barry Webster; and 24 nieces and nephews. Contact may be made with Ryan in Idaho Falls at (208) 524-3944 or his parents in Pleasant Grove, Utah, at (801) 785-4726.

His memorial service will be Aug. 22 in Lehi, Utah, at 415 Olive Way (Russell's). At his request, his ashes will be scattered over the ocean at Laguna Beach, Calif.

Mom (Gin Younkin) says she sympathizes with you and understands the loss you feel. She'll be calling you (Bob & Donna) later.

To all my cousins, I'm so sorry and if you ever need to talk to someone who knows what it is like to lose a brother, you can call me anytime...your parents have my contact information. Take care of yourselves.
