C. Brent Taylor, 65, of Rigby, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 26, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Cleston "Nic" Fritz Taylor and Marie Bradshaw Taylor. He was raised in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. He continued his education at The University of Connecticut, where he received a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in chemistry.
He was married to Marajorie Carini and had three daughters. They were later divorced. He served in the National Guard 116th Engineers, and was activated to the Army where he served in the Vietnam War. On June 3, 1998, he married Elizabeth "Liz" Mary Brannan in East Hartford, Conn. He worked as a plant supervisor for Strohmans Brothers Bread in East Hartford, Conn., at the Grecian Delight Plant in Chicago and was a driver for S.L.A.S.H. Brent was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, classical music and was an avid book reader. Brent loved to fly and earned his pilot's/instructor's license.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Taylor of Rigby; wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Taylor of Rigby; daughters, April (Jose) Abrantes of South Glastonbury, Conn., Amy (Franke) Estes of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Rosemarie Taylor of San Clemente, Calif.; siblings, Dawna (Alan) Smith of Silverdale, Wash., Jennie Watkin of Tucson, Ariz., and Bryce (Claudia) Taylor of Rigby; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Cleston "Nic" Fritz, and a brother, Steven.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. that day. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
