Carol JoAnn Samuelson, 76, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at her home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Idaho Falls to Leora Scouten.
She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1952.
JoAnn married Merlin Floyd Samuelson in Blackfoot in August 1953. They were later divorced.
JoAnn was a secretary for the Blackfoot School District and worked for Nonpareil and King B.
She enjoyed playing pool, crocheting, sewing, quilting and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Rodney (Lissa) of Twin Falls and Bonnie (Gary) Daley of Alpine, Wyo.; mother, Leora Scouten of Salmon, Idaho; sisters, Leona Wray of Blackfoot, Sharon Dutton of Salmon and Judy (Bill) Fayle of Shelley; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
According to her wishes, cremation services will take place under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home and no further services will take place.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Carol Joann Samuelson! She was a wonderful, loving , witty, caring person that was always full of spunk! She will be greatly missed! Fred~we love you and think about you quite often during this time of your lost and grief especially during the holidays! We will miss you "Joann"!
