RIGBY -- David Ronald Killmeyer, 71, of Rigby, died Jan. 9, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Pittsburg, Pa., to Albert Herman and Carol Ann Gobrish Killmeyer. He grew up and attended schools in Pittsburgh, Pa., and graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh.
On April 21, 1958, he married Mary Nancy Kroeger in Charleston, S.C. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and Vietnam as a weapons specialist and retired from the Air Force in 1972. He served with the U.S. Navy for four years. He lived in Citrus Heights, Calif., for 34 years before moving to the Rigby area in 2006.
David enjoyed fishing, building models, watching John Wayne movies and the Reno Air Races.
Survivors include his children, Shelly (John) Dyer of Lewisville and Ron (Cathy) Killmeyer of Rigby; a brother, Donald (Rosemary) Killmeyer of Pittsburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He made it possible to meet him and Maryl by bringing her to Long Island
and flying me from Florida to Sacramento and back inorder to visit with Maryl while she was in hospital. I had told Maryl that Dave sounded like a Teddy Bear when I first spoke with him on the telephone. I am glad that they are finally together again. God Grant Them Eternal Rest.
