As a member of the LDS Branch that serves the Huntsmans Cancer Center, several branch members had the opportunity to interact with Emily, Lynette, and family. Emily is truly a remarkable daughter of God. Her courage, love for others, and understanding of the Plan of Salvation were unquestionable. Her ability to emulate the Savior by looking outward by building and supporting the faith of us was beyond admiration. Branch members who visited Emily and Lynette came away with more belief, more hope and more faith in a Loving Heavenly Father that has a plan for His children who are eternal beings. We miss the hugs that we received from Emily but know that she is not far away. We thank God for knowing her for such a brief minute on this side of the veil. We love you Lynette and wish our Heavenly Fathers comfort and blessing to rest upon you and your family.

I'm heartbroken to hear that Emily has passed away. I was so hopeful that she would beat this. She was so sweet, kind and strong. I only got to meet her one day as I was her nurse. She cried when I told her about my grandpa and how much he had meant to me when she had asked about my watch. She had this light in her that just made you want to make her feel better. Life is so hard sometimes. And sometimes we only get to have the people we love the most for a short time. I wanted to tell Lynette that I'm so sorry for yours and your families loss. Thank you for letting me take care of Emily for one day. She made a big impact on my heart.
